A BUDGET HAUL

Good evening Ladies and Gents! I had an extremely lazy day today and so I decided to get my arse     in gear and go into town and purchase some new things. However, as I am currently skint I didn't     go overboard and actually managed to get six items for a total of £10.24, which I think is pretty good!

I purchased all of these items from Body Care which is a sort of 'Poundland' version of Boots. Yes, everything may not be £1 but it is a hell of a lot cheaper so it's a great place to go if you're looking for a bargain.

The first item is Imperial Leather Sensuous Silk Bath Cream and it smells a delight! It was only 99p and it's a 500ml bottle - cheap as chips! I'm a huge fan of Imperial Leather body wash, everything smells so good and leaves your skin feeling b-e-a-utiful and the price of it really isn't an issue!

If you've read my previous posts, you'll know I've been loving the Tea Tree Lotion by The Body Shop, so I thought I'd get myself a tea tree facial wash to try and get rid of some redness I have on my face. The brand is Escenti which I've never heard of before, but it was only 89p and I was in need of something to stop my redness before it consumes my whole face and I turn into a walking red blob!

Thirdly is the Pearl Drops Everyday White, which was also extremely cheap (99p). I'm not really sure how to use it at the moment but I think you use it as a tooth paste. As it was only really cheap, I'm not expecting amazing results, but nevertheless I want to give it a bash!

Not the most exciting, but I needed some more makeup wipes so I got the Bodycare 4 in 1 Cleansing Facial Wipes (89p). When buying makeup wipes, I try not to spend a lot because all makeup wipes pretty much do the same job, so I'm not too bothered about getting a specific brand.

I've read a lot about the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Solution so I picked it up. It's meant to dissolve makeup, unclog pores and tone and sooth the skin. I'll probably use this after I've removed my makeup and washed my face just to get it extra clean! This was actually the most expensive thing I bought at £3.99.

Finally, I needed a new face scrub which is why I purchased the Neutrogena Gentle Exfoliating Wash. I haven't used a Neutrogena product in years so I'm looking forward to seeing how this works with my skin! Oops, almost forgot, the price of this is £2.49.

So that is it for my little budget haul! If there's a particular product that you want a to see a review on let me know in the comments. But if I love any of the products after using them they'll probably be featured in a future favourites post or I'll do a review on them!

CONFESSIONS OF A MONEY SAVER

Bit of a different post today! I often find myself short of money, which can be worrying considering I now am able to drive and so I am paying for insurance and petrol money and I also need to start saving for university (which I'm starting at the end of the year). So, I thought I'd share with you some sites that can able you to spend less (on things such as cosmetics) and also how to get discounts and bits and bats like that!

1. A Helpful Facebook Page

If you're on Facebook (who isn't!?) then you may find this page really helpful - I know I did!  '10 Ways To Have More Money As A Student' is great for getting discounts on food, beauty items and clothing and the page is updated usually multiple times a day with new deals, sometimes there are even free items!

2. Cheap Cosmetics Sites

If you're a high-end makeup kind of gal (or guy) then looking for cheaper brands may not be ideal, however if money is tight then it may be good to consider some other alternatives! Here are a few sites that I love and are great quality for money.

Elf ALWAYS have deals on, so be sure to check that out!

3. eBay Is Your Best Friend

If I need to order something specific online I will instantly check eBay first, it's a great site for getting cheap bits and also selling your stuff and getting money for it! For example, if you're looking for cheap makeup that would usually be fairly pricey (such as MAC) then you should be able to find it here. Be careful though, as there are A LOT of fake MAC products on eBay.

4. Do You Really NEED It?

Before you go ahead and splurge on something, think to yourself, 'Do I really need this?' ... 'Do I really need another red lipstick when I already have 6?'. Although, I know it is much easier than it sounds because sometimes you do end up kicking yourself for not buying it! But so what? Yes, you might not have that exact lipstick but you've probably got something similar. However, if you really feel like you need a certain shade, shop around and find some cheaper dupes and save a bit of your cash!!

And Finally...

By no means am I a great saver! I find it so difficult to save but some of the points above have helped me and I hope that they help you to! I wanted to end this post on a humorous note so look at this clip from Confessions of a Shopaholic on YouTube!

Did you find this post helpful? Any other money saving ideas? Let me know in the comments.
