Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation Review

I first heard about this product through Essiebutton on YouTube and everything that I've tried that she's recommended I have loved! Another reason for going for this foundation is that it is a drugstore foundation and now I'm on a student budget, I wanted to go for something a little cheaper. I was sort of skeptical about choosing a drugstore foundation just because I've been using more expensive brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown and YSL. I honestly didn't think that a drugstore foundation could please me as much as an expensive one - but I was wrong!

The thing I really like about this foundation is the formula of it, it's gel based which works wonders on my dry skin, it smooths over dry areas beautifully - something my YSL foundation failed to do. It's also a serum and a foundation, so I guess that it is better for your skin and has more healthy ingredients that won't irritate the skin. I wouldn't say my skin has got better from using it, but it definitely hasn't reacted to it, no spots - nothing!

The only problem I have with the product is that I bought a shade too dark, but that's just me being stupid and not paying attention to what I picked up! I will 100% be buying it again, it really is a fantastic foundation.

Have you tried this foundation? What other Bourjois products would you recommend?

Emily Loves - Neutrogena Gentle Exfoliating Wash

Good evening lovelies! This is my first proper review post, and I wanted to take a second to introduce my 'Emily Loves' posts. Every now and again, when I find a product I love, I'll do a post about it with the title 'Emily Loves'. I wanted to do this so that you can see the products that I've been loving and recommend - just thought it was a nice idea. Anyway, enough ramble and onto the review!

I got the Neutrogena Gentle Exfoliating Wash a few days ago in a budget haul you can see here. I've been using this product since the first day I got it and I have definitely noticed a positive difference in my skin.

I have normal/dry skin with redness around my nose. From using this exfoliating wash my skin has just completely calmed down and the overall colour of my face has become much more even and nice looking, which is fab! I hate this phrase, but it really 'does what it says on the tin' by scrubbing all of the dead skin off and leaving you with cleansed and smooth skin - lovely stuff!

Another thing that contributes to my love for this product is the price, it's so cheap! I purchased mine from Bodycare for £2.49, however I am aware that there are not Bodycare stores accessible to everyone, so you can purchase it from Boots here for £3.99.

After using this Neutrogena product it's definitely made me want to buy more products from their skincare line, and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

A BUDGET HAUL

Good evening Ladies and Gents! I had an extremely lazy day today and so I decided to get my arse     in gear and go into town and purchase some new things. However, as I am currently skint I didn't     go overboard and actually managed to get six items for a total of £10.24, which I think is pretty good!

I purchased all of these items from Body Care which is a sort of 'Poundland' version of Boots. Yes, everything may not be £1 but it is a hell of a lot cheaper so it's a great place to go if you're looking for a bargain.

The first item is Imperial Leather Sensuous Silk Bath Cream and it smells a delight! It was only 99p and it's a 500ml bottle - cheap as chips! I'm a huge fan of Imperial Leather body wash, everything smells so good and leaves your skin feeling b-e-a-utiful and the price of it really isn't an issue!

If you've read my previous posts, you'll know I've been loving the Tea Tree Lotion by The Body Shop, so I thought I'd get myself a tea tree facial wash to try and get rid of some redness I have on my face. The brand is Escenti which I've never heard of before, but it was only 89p and I was in need of something to stop my redness before it consumes my whole face and I turn into a walking red blob!

Thirdly is the Pearl Drops Everyday White, which was also extremely cheap (99p). I'm not really sure how to use it at the moment but I think you use it as a tooth paste. As it was only really cheap, I'm not expecting amazing results, but nevertheless I want to give it a bash!

Not the most exciting, but I needed some more makeup wipes so I got the Bodycare 4 in 1 Cleansing Facial Wipes (89p). When buying makeup wipes, I try not to spend a lot because all makeup wipes pretty much do the same job, so I'm not too bothered about getting a specific brand.

I've read a lot about the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Solution so I picked it up. It's meant to dissolve makeup, unclog pores and tone and sooth the skin. I'll probably use this after I've removed my makeup and washed my face just to get it extra clean! This was actually the most expensive thing I bought at £3.99.

Finally, I needed a new face scrub which is why I purchased the Neutrogena Gentle Exfoliating Wash. I haven't used a Neutrogena product in years so I'm looking forward to seeing how this works with my skin! Oops, almost forgot, the price of this is £2.49.

So that is it for my little budget haul! If there's a particular product that you want a to see a review on let me know in the comments. But if I love any of the products after using them they'll probably be featured in a future favourites post or I'll do a review on them!
